Frank Foley Memorial

Location: Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge

 

Major Frank Foley CMG. was a british spy and was known as "The British Schindler" . He was responsible for saving over 10,000 Jews from the Holocaust.

He is depicted in his tweed suit and seated on a park bench. At his side is his briefcase upon which is perched a bird. He is feeding the bird a piece of bread which he has broken from his lunch and it represents the help that he offered to refugees who were wishing to escape from the Nazis.
