ATS Memorial

The idea to create an ATS Memorial was down to two ATS veterans; Mary Beeston and Margaret Rogers.

Their desire was to have a memorial dedicated to the Women of the Auxiliary Terretorial Service from 1938 to 1949.

It will take the form of a one and a third times lifesize statue of an ATS girl in uniform. The seated figure will measure over eight

feet tall and will be situated at the Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The unveiling will be on Saturday 15th July 2006.
